    Does anyone have one?

Think we are going to have a lot of fun using this.

Hi, Scotkat. We bought one a few months ago and t'other half makes our bread. We are particularly fond of granary types with added caraway seed, poppy seeds or sesame.

Wouldn't be without it now! [IMG]

I would love to have a dough-mixing machine in the near future, as I hope to make more and more cakes and also bread, why not?
But I would only buy a very sturdy one, as otherwise I may use the hand mixer.

We had a bread machine and used it regularly for a few years until it wore out, then bought another one and used that until it wore out about 5 years ago.

Quite good, but eventually you do get rather fed-up weighing up the ingredients as they have to be fairly accurate.

Perhaps they do prepack mixes now to make it easier, but then you will have added chemicals no doubt? ;)

I think Dag, that I would use always the same measuring cups or jugs so that I would not need to weigh the ingredients, but the amount would be right.
Did you use the mixer to make bread or cakes?

Lots of my friends have one and think they are brill. It is nice to smell fresh baked bread, but sometimes I think it is another item to find a space for and have to keep washing out.We buy the granery bread from Tesco's ready sliced then we just pop it into the freezer. We have enough to do with all the gardening and allotmenteering and also the greenhouse to look after,so we are still undecided as to whether one would be worth paying out for

kandy my eldest daughter has one and she said they are fantastic, you have to cut and core certain fruits but i suppose thats fine, I give my other daughter a anthony warrel thompson machine and that cores and pulps the fruit, it was messy to clean up and expensive

Ooh, Rosa, love AWT, but buy cheap and cheerful and as a bonus they are easy to clean ... just wipe out with a damp cloth! [IMG]
