Breaking down!!!

I'm really struggling with computer issues this evening. I'm beginning to think my laptop is on the verge of breakdown. If any one can help me please I have posted in 'The Site Bugs' thread further down, under 'Page Load Times are Slow'.

Everything keeps freezing and disappearing off screen. I may or may not be around to see your replies anyway. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Shiney, but I'm trying to hold off on that. Things have improved today. Scrub that! Things haven't improved, my screen just froze. This is really frustrating!

I always run an anti virus every night (I leave the computer on and it runs around 23:00) I also have a registry cleaner that runs every 4 days.

Put it like this.

You drop a single crumb with every page you visit, but as they are so small you don't really notice, give it a few months and you have enough crumbs to make a cake, a registry cleaner is like a dustpan and brush, cleans up all the crumbs, so you have no cake to fall over.

 

Thanks all. After almost total breakdown, my son and I got together on Sunday via remote assistance and gave my computer a complete overhaul. After five hours working on it - it's now up and running again.
