Brian Cant has passed away at the age of 83 - Brian Cant, Play School presenter, dies at 83 - BBC News

I grew up with Brian's cheery voice being a regular feature, and even as an adult I still loved to hear his tones on clips of Trumpton etc.

Thank you, Brian, for many hours of great entertainment, back in the days when life was simpler and TV seemed somehow gentler. RIP Sir. :frown:

Sincere respects to the late Brian Cant. RIP.

Just browsing the forum and I came upon this thread.

The name hit me like a thunderbolt.

During my senior days at school. I was in the district sports and athletics team. On a sad particular sports meeting. The tannoys screamed out. Emergency. Accident.

A fellow studant named Brian Cant, had just been involved with a javelin. The full details were never made known to the students, but poor Brian was pronounced dead on arrival at the local hospital. Soon afterwards the annual speech day include the announcement that the school had set up a memorial fund, to be known as the. Brian Cant Memorial Trophy

Sorry about that. What I meant was. Browsing the forums,, I came across the name Brian Cant. That reminded me of a school chum back in 1952 named Brian Cant.etc.

Kids should never have been allowed to play with sharp pointy things.;)

It wouldn't happen these days, it would bounce off the cotton wool.
