    Hi,

I had terrible black fly probs with broad beans last year(i took off the tops and didnt make any difference), anyway, I have just planted some that say feb is good for out door sowing, and I have changed their position to a part of the garden that is the home to a large amount of garden spiders , I dont really want to spray them with chemicals, do you think the spiders will eat the black fly if I get the same prob again?

    cheers

I planted my Broad Beans last Autumn to avoid black fly.

The seriously cold weather killed them :(

(In fairness I planted "Guaranteed Hardy ones, rather than Aquadulcea(sp?) that I would have had confidence in :gnthb:)
