I sowed my beans a few weeks ago and now have 12 sturdy plants,I will plant these 2 to a bucket and want to put them outside over winter, should I harden them off first ,due to weather being quite frosty now. Or as they are hardy ok to go in situ ,where I put them is round the side of the house but it is quite a wind tunnel when its coming from the north.
Also thinking a bit more,I grow my runners in buckets and cut the stems a couple of weeks ago.could I plant them in those buckets and soil, thinking nitrogen from runner roots, and I could fleece them at night.

I'd harden them off as a sudden change might check their growth.

I'd chuck the bucket. You may cause a lot of damage to their roots trying to untangle them from each other. Or if you intend to plant out the whole bucket, I'd do it soon. Nice job for Christmas morning.

    Cheers, Tony.

Only the runners roots left in the buckets,so nothing to untangle?,the beans are still in modules ,but need to be potted this week,
