    i noticed today that my bb as lanty of ants surrying around. and seem to be looking a bit depressed. any ideas whats happening, i dont see any aphids so dont think its that but have noticed tiny black fly hovering around, and plus some of the flowers have fallen off without podding.

    It's possible that the ants are sussing out the plants. Ants farm aphids so may be bringing eggs in and putting them on the broadbeans. Keep an eye out for them.
