    Hi all

My first post since moving over from the GW forum, so hello to all the folk from there and hello to all the new (to me) folk!

I bought a pack of dahlia tubers a couple of months ago and decided to get them potted up today. However, of the 3 bulbs (all different varieties) 2 of them were like this and I’m at a loss as to how to plant them! Should I just plant all the individually broken apart pieces into separate pots?

    Many thanks!

You're not likely to get growth from any tubers that don't have part of the neck attached, that's the base of last years stem.

Single tuber can root but they cant grow, I think you might just get two plants out of that lot.

I agree. I think the 3 bits circled can be thrown away. The 3 remaining bits look as though they have some neck attached, but bottom-right is 50/50. dahlias.jpg

They eat dahlias in Peru if you are feeling brave.
