I am in the process of splitting up a fairly hefty clump of Day Lilies.
They are into growth with about 4 inch shoots. Inevitably, a few of the shoots being quite soft still, have broken. Is there any point replanting those corms that have lost their ‘ tops’ or are the corms destined for the compost? I have about 100 corms so it is not exactly a disaster but would prefer to give the broken ones a chance if salvageable. Thanks

I'm sure you can just plant them and they'll be fine.@Spruce is our resident Day lily expert he'll know better than me .:blue thumb:

If you don't plant them and try, they will never grow...so there's that:)

If they don't have live tissue above the main root, they aren't likely to grow. If there's still green growth, just plant them and they should be ok but it might be next year before they do much.
