@JWK , John et al , Brookside Nursery have free post and packing until January the 2nd !
I have ordered my Begonia Santa Cruz as recommended by Trunky , and some trailing petunias . They even let you pick the delivery week . Now as far as we know no one has used Brookside on GC , so only time will tell if they are OK . Prices are very good hopefully quality and delivery are as well !

Its only about 20 minutes from my house, bought a few bits from them in the past, last time I was in there they had some nice plants, I got 2 hollies half price in the reduced section they've done ok since I got them.

Just realised its the wrong Brookside Nursery, the one you mean Harry is in Tamworth, not exactly 20 minutes from Stockport :gaah:

Thanks Harry! I'm going to order the Sunpatiens plug plants we discussed a few months back - looking forward to see how they grow.

I'll get the Begonia Santa Cruz too plus they have Begonia Million Kisses which I saw at Will Giles' Exotic garden in Norwich last summer, they were stunning so I'll order those as well:

              Roll on the spring :)

Yes this ones in Staffordshire Ian.
Suprising no one on GC has used them before , its nice to have a review of places. Hopefully we will not receive dry and shrivelled plugs 6 weeks late !

I think you will be pleased with the Sunpatiens , they are a little late to flower . But with some deadheading now and then they will flower until November when the frosts get them. They also perform quite well in light shade.
Our local nursery sell stunning baskets off Million kisses, but for some reason don't sell them as individual plants . These and the Santa Cruz are part of the Begonia Boliviensis group which have lovely bell shaped flowers. My first was a Begonia Bonfire about 6 years ago , can't find these now !

Two dozen of the Petunia plugs planted up in x 6 cells , they are a really good size for plugs. They are delivered , as all mail order nurseries , in a micro cell tray each cell 20mm square. So you get 40 plugs in a cell tray as big as the palm of your hand  It always amazes me .
