Hi all, I would love some advice on this. I have a bush at the back of my garden, quite leafy, not quite sure what it is. But it has brown nobbly growths growing on a lot of branches and I'm wondering if it is diseased? I'll have to try and get a photo of it to post. Would anyone have an idea of what this is? Many thanks!

Hmmm, those growths could have quite different causes e.g. insect attack, disease, virus, old age, physiological conditions.

I think that photo is going to be essential for us to even have a guess at which it is.

Thanks, I'll try and take a photo (it's a bit wet out there just now!). Not sure how long the bush has been there as we inherited when we moved in 3 years ago, but it was already well established then. Will come back with photo soon!
