Brown spots on broad bean leaves and pods

Some of my broad bean plants have brown spots on the leaves and broad bean pods - will this affect the rapidly growing bean pods or the beans inside?

If so, is there any "safe" treatment (bearing in mind that I have dogs who regularly mooch around the plants).
