My crocosmia (and most of my other "spikey" plants) have brown tips to their leaves does anyone one know what might cause this?

The plant has been allowed to dry out hence the brown tips. They need quite a bit of watering. You dont say where they are planted.- in pots or the garden?

My crocosmias seem very happy where they are planted some in heavy clay and others in lovely conditioned soil so maybe dryness is not the problem do you think maybe it might be a pest at fault? Hel.xxx.

Come back from a camping weekend on Monday and some of my plants have wind burn, could it be that?

planted in the garden but heavy clay soil. Has been dry for a while up till now. I don't think it is bugs as it is all over the garden

Some crocosmia cultivars do well in dry some do well in wet, depends what variety you have.
