Annual visit to Brownsea Island (Poole Harbour) today as it was warm and sunny but very little wildlife. No Red Squirrels or Deer and very few birds, just Terns and Oystercachers.

On the ferry back to Poole you go past Sandbanks, the Millionaires' (or is it Billionaires now) row. Even here there are the 'haves' and 'have nots' the poor 'have nots' only have a private jetty, the 'haves' have a Helipad!!

I used to go to the Island a lot when I lived down there. Beautiful place with gorgeous birds and wildlife. :)

The bird life is fantastic in Autumn/Winter with Avocets and Spoonbills and thousands of other waders although as you probably know it is closed Nov-March.
We will go again end of October when the squirrels and birds are more active and visible.

Lovely pictures Strongy and thanks for the Oystercatcher. :dbgrtmb: I'm still yet to get a shot of one, each time I go to the beach there is something disturbing them, tide is wrong etc. One day it will happen! :)
