My brug is really a bit of an embarrassment to me at the mo. Well he came as a cutting and if im being honest hasnt really done a great lot since he came here in April. He is now fed 3 times a week on full fat miracle grow and gets loads of water (hes spoilt if you ask me) Anyways, instead of getting any taller he has now sprouted loads and loads of leaves on the stem and im thinking ``"great! Berties about to fly". However, ive looked at him tonight and the new leaves dont seem to be getting any bigger, feel quite thick to the touch and have a slight yellow hue, especially around the topmost ones. Im panicking a bit, because Im really trying to do my best with this thing and Im beginning to wonder if im doing too much and not doing any favours. I would put a pic up but my camera isnt up to it (got a new one on order`)..... to be honest, no i wouldnt put a pic up cos i would be affronted
Any ideas, or advice much appreciated

I think i may have fed him too much .Theres a good old load of rain coming down now and more to come so hopefully if that is the problem, it may give him a good rinse through

Averil, I know they say you cant overfeed a Brug, but that's once its established and has lots of root in its pot.
I'd be inclined to dry it off a bit as well, until it actually starts making new growth.
If its soggy and the plant is not moving, I'd guess the roots are just rotting.

Hi Pete (you must be fed up of seeing me :snork:. There is loads (a heckuva lot) of new growth up the main stem, but the leaves just seem a bit sort of leathery to me. The leaves are a good dark green but the top ones seem to be a tad yellow on their rims

Not fed up averil.:blue thumb: This is what GC is all about.

I know you said you cant get a picture up, but any kind of picture would help a lot.

      Hi Pete,
He is only about 1 ft tall and the texture of leaves are that of a savoy cabbage. I cant make up my mind if he is incredibly healthy or incredibly ill. Haaa sort of explains why i wasnt a nurse :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Well it looks healthy, but perhaps a bit stunted.
      What variety is it?
I'm no expert, but its not your average Brug plant, I dont think.

I think it needs more heat too. I wouldn't have a Brug outside that small particularly with the low temperatures we are having this summer.
