Brugmansia Help and Advice

Good morning all

Have just joined this wonderful forum that I found quite by chance.
I have successfully grown brugmansias for several years but this year I have a real problem that I hope someone can help with.

I have seven different brugmansias all in very large pots. However two of them are being ravaged at their growing points by something and turning the leaves to lace. The two are named Herzenbruge and Dark Rosetta. I have grown them successfully in the past and not had this problem. They are protected from slugs with pellets and I can find no evidence of anything that is the culprit.
