    Hi ScotKat,
I just love sprouts but OH hates them :hehe:

I need some soup for helping my slimming along.

I am Kathleen but called Kath, Kathy, Cat [which I hate!] There are a few Kaths on here and so most members call me Jazmine or Jaz. I don't mind at all what I am called :luv:

    So you are a Kath?

I am Kathleen to also get called Kath or Kathy but dont like getting called Katie.

My Mum was called Catherine her Mum was Katherine but called Kate my Mum was called Cathy.

And I much prefer the spelling of Kathleen with lene Kathlene i some time sign my name with lene .I dont like getting called Kat :)

I remember yrs ago before demenia took my Mum away from she always said I was not called after her as she did not want big Cathy and wee Kathy as she was 4ft 10" and thing when she died 3yrs ago am sure she had even shrunk.

Just read through and where do the sprouts come in? Presumably I cook them as per usual and add to the blender?

    Just for Banana man :D
Here is the soup minus the cream and made with vegetable stock instead of chicken stock.

It was gorgeous! I dare not eat any more sprouts. :hehe:

Yummy, nice variation, but keeping with the peppery theme of a watercress type soup, yummy !

Reckon i'll add a few more sprouts just to annoy the Mrs and to compete with the dog :hehe:

All you need is large onion sliced or chope dwont mater as you blitz thsi soup.

Let onion soften then add chopped sweet tattie and carrot.

Let tattie and carrot soften then add veg stock and come to boil then simmer.

Pepper to season salt if wished I dont add salt can be added at table.

    Enjoy with crusty bread.

A slight but very tasty variation on Scotkat's excellent recipe is to add some crushed chetsnuts. We first encountered this in a restaurant and it was brilliant so Mrs W started brewing her own!
