    I moved it!!

    As for your telephone socket

    a) I had a local (ex-BT) chap come and so such a job for me, He charged me a fiver!

    b) you could get a kit from B&Q and do it yourself. It's easy-peasy!!

Ill ditto that, very easy to extend although Ive always piggy backed a new cable from the slave box terminals using an idc tool as it looks better than the plug in extension kits.

When Bt did a seperate phone line from the pole to the house and into my office it cost £70.

I had a nice surprise the other day. I have TalkTalk (CarphoneWarehouse) account.

I have landline, free calls local and national 24/7 and free broadband for 19.99 plus VAT.

Last year they added a promotional free International dialling for 18 months. Now I train mods on another site and have found it much simpler and quicker to do it over the phone. Most of our mods are from the US. So I got last month's phone bill. There were over 70 calls to the US and Spain, most lasting around 40-60 mins.

    The bill was £24.72!!

Not bad, eh? The free international dialling is only £2.99 per month so I am going to go onto it. I used to use Telediscount but that meant dialling an 11 digit prefix to any number which was a pain. It was however, a mere 1p per minute. Even so I often had up to £5 added to by bill because of it so it looks like I can hardly lose!
