    Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what bush or plant this is called.

I remember walking past this about 15 years ago and the only thing i can remember is that it gave off a really nice strong scent which smelt like Bubblegum or Blueberry?

I cant remember what it looked like but it may have been a purple lilac colour but i maybe totally wrong.

    Thanks.

Do you know what season this was in? (eg: spring, summer, autumn, winter?) as this could narrow it down quite a bit:o

It must have been planted by the council as it was along a public pathway but the scent was very very strong

Osmanthus? Or Calycanthus? I just did a quick search and came up with those. I don't have a clue really!!!
