I've had this Hippeastrum (Chico) for a few years, but it has only bloomed twice with the last time being five years ago. Once again I had given up on it and had withdrawn water. Chuffed as punch to spot this this morning!

Giving it some much needed water now and in a week or so (if my memory serves me correctly) I should have something rather like this..........

Longk, just a thought..........you said you'd given up watering it. A lot of plants can be forced into flowering through stress situations ie lack of water. I've found that with a few of my houseplants.

Lovely plant, I like it's 'whispy' look. :)

I've done the same thing for five years now Sheal! I was told that this species require a cold spell to bloom reliably........
