Well I needn't have worried about not being able to garden atm. My little 4 year old dragged me out there this morning and did the following whilst tutting that it was messy (with supervision of safety scissors and thick kids gloves)
Correctly pruned three rose bushes - omg!!!
    Swept the path
Picked up some crisp packets and put them in bin
Filled a large pot and planted some bulbs mixed in with sweet pea seds
Demanded a watering can daff soil was a bit dry!
I just sat in a garden chair flabbergasted!
They sure do pick up gardening quick and I am now surplus to requirements!

I remember potting up a plant when Willow was a toddler, showed her how to do it and then water it in. Soon as it was done she grabbed it and pulled it out again

I felt a bit sorry for my lad the other day. He wanted to plant one of the black currant bushes we have in pots, but over the winter, with all the rain, the soil has gone pretty hard in place so he struggled to get his spade in to make a hole. He was so frustrated, and it didn't help that I kept telling him the spot he'd chosen was not a good place for it. In the end, I just told him to dig anywhere he likes, so he did, and he unearthed a massive ant colony, which amused him no end.

Nope. You've lost me there. I plant stuff and then remember what they are, until I forget.

You can make great labels out of pegs (Woden) and if u use dolly ones with pens little one can make pot decorations like pirates etc clueless
