Buddy Holly

My 'other' interest, apart from church, is a long lived admiration for the work of this young man.



His music seems to be so timeless that notonly were many of the members not even not born when he died, some are even in their teens and twenties!!

I am a member of a Buddy Holly forum and am soon to have material - newspaper cuttings and stuff -on two other websites.

I saw him in concert at Liverpool in March 1958 and there don't seem to be too many of us around now - at least, not those prepared to shout about it!!

Now come on, own up all you closet Buddy nuts! Let's know who you are. And did just one of you see him live as well?

 

Im a Buddy Holly nut,had all his records,alas first wife distroyed them,but "That will be the day, peggy sue,etc oh such memories,thanks M for taking me back for a moment

 

The UK tour was March 1958, wiseoldowl. But I can't find Chatham on the tour list. Can you redefine it a bit?

My uncle was a big fan when i was growing up and his daughter and me used to listen to his LP`s all the time.I once did a stars in your eyes with,I guess it doesn`t matter anymore but i don`t think half the audience knew who i was supposed to be. :D

Never got to see BH live but had most of his records and used to play a few on the guitar. The Buddy Holly Story we have seen 3/4 times on stage and always enjoy enormously.

Rock and Roll music was wonderful and I am now downloading a lot of original stuff just to enjoy while I am bashing away on the keyboard here,

 

Does anyone put anything else on their i-pod while in the garden?

Yes OWG! My favourite musicman is Alan Price.
I love his songs and he is a brilliant keyboard player. I download lots of his stuff
and listen whilst driving or as you say when bashing away on the keyboard here :D

Of course, I like Buddy Holly too - (I have to say that :rolleyes: )
