    While digging out some compost beetlish thing scuttled past. The shiny body was probably in two parts but I'm not sure. The front half was red and the back half was bright black and white horizontal stripes. It was probably about 1.5 centimetres long.

      That looks like the one.feeds on bark beetles so I assume I've got them too

      Not something we get up here, but I was originally thinking of cardinal beetles [although the ones I see don't have any white on them] which then got me sidetracked, and I found that one. :smile:

      I could only find ones with vertical stripes @fairygirl
