I was starting to look through bulb catalogues the other day, as i moved in to my new bungalow last november,i have my perrenials in,but i am now starting to think what i need for winter planting, i will be away December -March, i really would like to put in bulbs etc that will give me pleasure on my return, not flowering too early .
    What are everybodies favourites,

My favourite bulbs for March/April flowering are narcissus tete-a-tete, narcissus Jenny (white), scilla sibirica, various crocuses, iris reticulata (though maybe a bit early) and hyacinths if you don't mind a bit of blousiness! I'm hoping to try some tulips soon too.
