Hi all apart from my gardening I absolutely adore bumblebees, so hence everything in the garden has to atract the bees. Buzz buzz.

I have over 100 in my garden at the moment, they are all over the Mock Orange, Lilac and Cerinthe. I only wish they would find the Broad Bean flowers.

I have a bumble bee nest in my garden. I believe they are Tree Bumble Bees which seem to be doubling in number every day now.

            Must get some pictures.

We have an abandoned nesting box in a silver birch tree which seems to have been colonised by bumble bees. To high to take a pic, but they are bigger than honey bees but smaller than big bumbles. Maybe atouch of yellow, but hard to see as they don't rest on their way in/ out of the hole. What could they be? Tree bees like jj's?
