    It looks like Corydalis lutea

        Ah lovely thank you so much. My friend was thinking maybe it's a weed but I think it's so pretty and looks like a proper plant to me.

        It's a shame that the blue-flowered species of Corydalis don't seed around so easily !

          Or indeed any of the Corydalis species like C,. solida. If anyone does have Corydalis that sets seed, it is best sown fresh and possibly slightly under ripe.
