busy lizzys

    HI ALL FOR THE SECOND YEAR NOW MY BUSY LIZZY
    SEEDS HAVE FAILED.
    I FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER AND NEVER
    SEEM TO SUCCEED ARE THEY FINNICKY PLANTS OR AM I JUST UNLUCKY.
    ANY TIPS WILL BE APRECIATED

    I don't know what your instructions were but I've found that they need a consistently high temperature to germinate- about 70C. I used very fine seed compost and sowed them on the top with a very thin layer of vermiculite covering them.
    I've also read in several places that no fertliser is necessary for seed compost, and may stop the seeds from germinating.

    MENTION HEAT SO MAYBY THAT'S THE PROB.
    THINK I'L GET A HEATED PROPAGATOR AND GIVE THAT A GO.
    IF THAT WORKS I'L LET YOU KNOW

    Perhaps I should have said with vermiculite or sand sprinkled sparingly, a lot of tiny seeds need plenty of light. Also water from beneath.

    david there is a button one sixteenth of an inch to the left of the A key (caps), press it!

    hi andyk yes i have been informed by dizi that i have been shouting only had pc 3mths didn't know any better not shouting now.
