    Well I'm trying my best to get as much done as possible while we have this fine weather; "make hay while the sun shines" springs to mind..:SUNsmile:

    Jobs completed so far over the last month or so (in no particular order :snork:);
    • Planter with trellis built and now finished and awaiting plants.
    • Rocket Potatoes in a couple of weeks ago.
    • Rooster Potatoes in (in large bags).
    • Peas sown a week ago and germinating today.
    • Grass has been cut twice.
    • A multitude of seeds sown; from Cannas to Tomatoes, too many to name them all..:biggrin:
    • Clematis & Roses planted either side of my arch that I put up over the entrance to my veg patch ~ 2 Clematis & 1 rose on each side.
    • Strawberries tidied up, fed and mulched.
    • Strawberry runners from last year planted in a large trough.
    • Raspberries fed and mulched and new wires put up to support them.
    • A Pear and a Cherry tree planted.
    • Red & White Onion sets in under cloches.
    Sooooo much more to do; more potatoes to go in as well as more veg seed over the next week or so.....looks like I'm going to be busy :biggrin:

    I LOVE IT......BRING IT ON...:spinning::dancy::coffee:

          I have pricked out 9 Maskotka toms.Up to their lanky 1 inch necks as recommended by your goodselves. They are staying upstairs in the bathroom to recover for a few days especially as the forecast suggest too cold for the unheated mini greenhouse. Also potted up 2 strands of a pretty little pink parahebe that had rooted along the stems. Someone will want them I expect - too good to chuck. Such a lovely day.Tied in some clematis stems - buds on 'em too!! Weird.... All sweet peas out on the patio enjoying the sunshine - hope it will stop them from getting drawn and leggy. My Oxalis "Iron Cross" are all up (all 8) and so thrilled, the Oxalis triagularis "Cupido" starting to dissturb the compost - they will not be far behind. Found 17 vine weevil grubs in a pot of compost that I hadn't bothered to empty in the Autumn. They are all pulp now -little blighters -hate 'em!!!!:catapult:

          They need light (otherwise they will be lanky again in a day or two). Windowsill (North facing won't do) and as close to the glass as you can get them. Something "flat white" behind them to reflect like behind them.

          They'll be happy outside in your blow-away if the day is mild (so long as the temperature is above 10C) and will much prefer the brighter light out there.

          But that won't be any use if you are not at home at the time they need to go out / come back in again.

          Should do. If not already done then cut them off above the 3rd leaf pair - that will make them bush up, the secondary stems are always more substantial than the original primary ones, for some reason ...

          Thank you Kristen . I will trim the sweet peas in the morning. The toms are on a south facing window sill upstairs with a very good light level. A bit of a fuff lugging the long potting tray up and down everyday but I will try and be good. I have been viewing the little toms in a couple of websites. They look very yummy and I can't wait to get munching. They will go in 2 outdoor window boxes that span the south facing kitchen window.Hot, hot, hot.......:phew:

          Lugging in-and-out every day is a cigarette ... and every year I manage to drop a few :(

          Ah, but think of the garden to come Longk. You'll be in your element, planning and planting. :)

          Ripping out to start with!
          It has Roses, Perriwinkle and Japanese Anenomes. Next door has a rampant Clematis too, but as that has just been sold I'm hoping to convince my new neighbour that they're evil and should be ripped out!

          The thought of "dropping a few" on the beige stair carpet will not make HWMBO very 'appy !! He thinks we're all barking mad anyway....
          longk - don't tell your neighbour about GC or things could get a bit messy . Perhaps the new neighbour bought it on the strength of "that divine clematis all along the boundary fence".... :roflol:
