    thanks strongy didnt know the name of it, must tell my friend as we didnt know its name, probably the best pics ive ever got of butterflys, there was quite a few but they kept flying around and this one just stayed in one place while i was taking pics.

    Lovely shot rosa,haven't seen any butterflies on my budd so far this year :(

    thanks pip took these shots up the street we went to a local pub yesterday and when its nice i nip out and get pics down the street and was amazed to see the butterflys on that budd

    10/10 for those pictures rosa.
    All i`ve managed to see this year is cabbage whites!
    And I`ve only got four purple sprouting!

    Lovely photos Rosa! There was a bit on the news the other day about 'Painted Ladys' they were saying that it comes all the way over from Africa and that this year being so warm we have more than normal. :gnthb:

    I hope you don't mind if I add a photo myself. Taken yesterday. Does anyone know the name? (I know I should but I don't)

    thanks marley, just looked at will tings and they both look the same colour to me marley, maybe they decided to come to the north east this year there was quite a few flying around hehe

    will ting see yours has blue bits on the edges as mine hasnt maybe thats a red admiral sure someone will tell us what it is, very nice photo
