    Winter squash can take a -2c at most i think. Where I am they would have been turned to mush ages ago

    I'd probably roast as many as you can to freeze, dehydrate some, and I had some interesting squash jam from Portugal but not sure I'd want too much of that in the cupboard.

    You could also use them in a chutney - lots of recipes if you Google. They won't have much flavour on their own account, so will need strong spicing/ another base ingredient like apples.

      Soup either with or without roasting first, google for many recipes. Will freeze and in plastic freezer bags will fill in any odd shaped spaces.

      Oh another recipe, I just dice them into tiny cubes, 1cm by 1cm, bake them till theyre just soft then add them cold to salads. Especially good with pommie seeds.
