Anyone know how to plant out butternut squash? I have 6 healthy looking plants grown from seed that are ready to go in my veggie plot but I do not know how to plant them out and how far apart from each other, also do they need to be supported? Any help would be appreciated.

If they're anything like pumpkins, they're fine to go out now. Pumpkins are knows as very greedy plants (both manure and space-wise) - so give them plenty of space, and give their creepers somewhere to climb as they'll take over things if not checked.
