I planted about 24 of these at the begining of last summer to form a hedge, they were tiny. I water and feed them regularly - they are now around a foot tall and look extremely healthy.

Apart from continuing to feed / water is there anything else I should be doing to make this the best hedge in the street?

    Many thanks,
    Carl.

Hang diamond bracelets and necklaces from it and put up a sign saying 'Help yourself''. Sounds to me like you're doing fine Carl.

I was wondering when I should cut them back (if at all), and by how much?

    Thanks.

Just prune them to your own taste when they are big enough Carl. pruning is usually cosmetic.
