    Hi All

Look at my Spring Cabbages they are going purple. I know they are crowded in this box as I planned to eat them as they grew as greens but never got around to it. I guess they are short of nutrients?? I have removed the old outer leaves so they are looking better already. Any ideas on the purple leaves.

I think the colour is quite normal for the variety. Don't look like spring cabbage to mr though. [IMG]

Agree John. Looks like they are hearting up a bit like a standard winter cabbage that has been a bit under-nourished.

[IMG] Look a bit like Hispi to me.. If so the colour is about normal I would think.. Maybe a little more colourful for being a bit cramped in your .. Think I would get round to eating them now, very tasty... [IMG] :D

The purple goes green when cooked.
Many greens have a puple tinge, its normal.
