Cal has a girlfriend ...

My little boy Cal has a girlfriend, Petal, the neighbour's Persian (Persians and Siamese are usually born in standard litters here). She comes over every morning and sometimes several times again later in the day and they play on the deck ....



He likes to tease her from the Jacaranda .....





Big bro Boo is not amused with her and hisses and puffs himself up when he encounteers her but is happy to lie in the sand garden peacefully ....

She was waiting for him on the granite ledge this morning .... but he was still in bed. But she came back later and they kissed :luv: .... then got cosy and eventually moved the sand garden ....

They have been up and down the Jacaranda chasing each other but he hasn't lured her into his giant hammock (shade sail) yet .... I did say yet ...... :D

Cutie, you cannot believe how much they have 'taken to each other ...

Sweetpea ... Cal has been 'done'. We found him newly born (still with umbilical cord) in 34C weather in a carrier bag at a rubbish bin .... he's not really 'with us' if you know what I mean. He was two in July.

Here is Petal the first day I saw her the day after her Mummy got her aged six/eight weeks ..... on 22 September .... so she's only ????????????

We were offered her sister ..... hmmmmmmmmmmmm

They came from our nearest hamlet called Calvos .... which is where our darling Cal is named after .....

Well, imp, we are three weeks further along now and he sits with her whilst she has her second brekkies with us ...

They can play all day, up the Jacarandas, across the deck, around and around the sand garden ... and if he runs indoors she is hot on his heels. Bless ...

The sweetness has gone out of it for me at the moment as she's in heat and is over here screaming like a banshee from about 8am ... and is still here ....





Cal seems unsure what to do to stop her wailing but rushes to her side every time she does, then runs away. I saw him hitting her several times earlier .... When I took the pic of her on her back ogling him, he was leaning against my leg just looking at her .... :dh:

Never having had any of my girls in heat ... how long does this go on for ?????
