Caladium flower

    Having bought a couple of Caladiums for the first time I was dubious if I could grow or kill them.

    They were bought as bare root plants. I have managed to get them not only to produce some lovely foliage but :wow: to my surprise one of the two is producing a flower as well .
    It isn't out yet but it looks something like a spathe of an Arum lily. It will be as interesting to see the fower as it was the colourful foliage . I am so pleased I took a gamble !:yes:

      They are Aroids like Zantedeschia (Arum/Calla lily).

        I have my phone and a Samsung pad which I can take photos . But don't know where to go from their.
        What do I do please ?

        Take a picture with whichever device you use to access the forum, save it, access forum and reply to this post. There is a middle blue button option there to "Upload a File" , click, navigate to your picture(s) and upload it.

          After you have uploaded it @Purple Streaks as per @DiggersJo instructions you need to also click the blue button 'Full image' next to the thumbnail of the photo.

          I have taken a selection of photos , granddaughter will nip over and show me tomorrow what to do , but while I was taking the photo I noticed it has got a fragrance between a melon ready to be picked and an orange .

            Don't expect too much of the flower, they are grown for their foliage.:smile:

            I was surprised at a flower and I think another one is coming so will try and get another on the day it blooms.
            I shall get more from Farmer Gracie I'm so pleased with them :yes:
