Calla

    I mentioned in a previous post about the 5 Calla I purchased off eBay. Potted them up and left them in greenhouse. The thing that worried me was there were on the top shelf almost up by the ceiling.
    They were doing nothing and they were drying out too fast, they were planted around 2" deep.
    Decided to go to plan B. Repotted them so some of the bulb was sticking out of the compost and took them into garage by the window, unfortunately North-ish facing., still no sign of growth. As a last resort went to plan C, the final plan!!
    The heated propagator was now empty so I popped the 5 calla pots into it. Not even a week later and all 5 are showing good signs of growth:).

    Not sure if it is the compost being warmed or the condensation but they are growing well now, only tiny but growing.

    Definitely the warmth, we used to start all our dahlia tubers in propagators.
