Callistemon Help

Hey all,

Something has started taking the little buds on my Callistemon and I don't know what it is, I cant see any insects other than spiders and I have checked it morning and night.

At this rate I am worried I wont get any more flowering :(.

Any ideas as it is driving me crazy.

Hi adam..where is your location please,is it a uk or australian pest we need to swat

 

ah location would help :P I'm located in the UK, Kent.

Closer inspection earlier I found a bud that must have been dropped by the bud thief, it had landed in between 2 leaves.

Someone suggested it could be birds, but I have only ever seen magpies around here.
