that had me in tears Pal,most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard and on of my favourites.I love Annies Song as well
I can't load it so will have to find it elsewhere! Annie's Song is beautiful, isn't it, Kandy. Think it was written for his wife but may be wrong ?????
I cannot remember LoL.I had problems loading it.It kept stopping and starting. This was my third attempt like your dreamers one. I also like that one called Honey I think it was and the one where he was a boy and became a man,but I can't for the life of me remember the titles.I will have to Google and see if you can buy these songs as an album on CD.It was such a shame when he was killed in his aeroplane especially as he built it himself. The good always die young :(
Very sad the boat won't be used again. Cousteau left a huge legacy - people may remember he was a naval officer and he and his colleague invented the aqualung under the noses of the occupying forces during the war. He had a working SCUBA set by 1943. He also introduced television audiences to marine life. Almost lost his own life exploring caves, too, because of a contaminated air supply, if I remember rightly. A man of great ability and courage - and many people owe their lives to him - firefighters' breathing apparatus, for example, derives from his pioneering work. A great man.
Have watched a new series on Sky recently on ocean discovery by Cousteau's son, not as good as the originals but still entertaining and informative. Inhouse advisor just bought 2 dvd s of JD to replace the old videos so when they are on I'm upstairs on here, sorry, me no like.
Wonderful song - and great to sing along to when driving. Along with Fly Away, Thank God I'm, a Country Boy and of course Annie;s Song. I remember watching Jacques Cousteau - one of the first - amazing.
