Camellia??

    Hi all,I really need help!! I have got a Camellia that was sent as a free gift and I have no idea where to plant it.There are no instructions and want to know if this is a bedding plant or for potting.Any help would be wonderful.Thankyou.

    Link will give good background information. RHS Horticultural advice: Camellias

    They do need acid conditions to grow in so use ericacious compost and be wary of planting them near old walls where old cement and mortar may significantly alter the soil composition. When watering it's best to use rainwater if you are in a 'hard' area. If possible try to provide some protection from drying winds as the buds are very easily damaged

    I don't think they like facing south either or the sun on them in the morning if there has been a frost. some of them not entirely hardy either so take care.
