On Sunday I'm off to a Gardening Show and want to buy a couple of camellias as I love them and have a sheltered area in my south facing garden..I really like the extravagant peony and double type. Has anyone any tips regarding which of these are reliable?? I,m wanting to grow them up a piece of trellis..do I have to tie them to it when I get them?? I've read about ericaeous compost and also not using tap water to water them..otherwise, I'm clueless!!!
    Any help much appreciated

Two old favourites are Debbie (had one for years prolific flowerer) and Donation, try to plant them were they will not catch the sun early in the morning, on frosty mornings if the flowers thaw out too quick they will be damaged and fall off.
