    Are the usb ports recognising other devices.Try a friend's camera, one that that will connect just with a usb lead. Or take a lead and laptotp to Currys camera counter.

    I would say that your best bet is to unplug the camera, go into the device manager and remove all the USB devices, then reboot the computer - once it reboots, it should find the USB sockets and reinstall them - then, you can plug your camera back in and it should reinstall the driver for it.
