I have had a camellia in a container for about 4 years. Each spring I replace the top couple of inches of compost with new ericaceous and sprinkle slow release ericaceous pellets around it. It flowers well but not to healthy, after the last severe winter all the flowers instantly died. Now this may be my memory but I thought the leaves used to be a deeper green , they are now pale green . Is the leaf colour correctish and any tips on how to improve the flowering and health of it. ( I don't want to repot it , as it ways x tonnes already !)

    TIA

    Harry

It looks fine to me Harry, keep doing what you are doing.:D As for the flowers dieing, you have to remember WHEN they flower, if they are wet and get frosted, then goodbye flowers.:gnthb:

    Thanks Again Dai
It seems my memory is at fault not the camillia leaves ! I'll keep feeding it the same way.

:thumb: Hi Harry, if re-potting is not an option as well then I would go with Dai on this one... I did tip mine out of the pot once & root pruned it.. I t didn't do too much the following year, but the year after it was magnificent, but then it wasn't a wet & frosty winter..!!

I`d wait until after flowering Harry, pointless losing the flowers for a few months.:gnthb:
