can anybody i.d my tree please

    hi all hope you can help , ive got this tree have not really paid it any attention till last yr when i noticed some sort of climbing plant was strangling it, ive cut the climber off and now the tree must have had a major growth spurt!, ive lived here 18yrs never seen a bud, flower or anything on it only leaves,its just over about 30ft high and about 15ft wide, i think it might be some sort of oak.
