    Nat,

Number 4 definitely Centaurea, or perennial cornflower (probably montana)

Number 5, possibly Wisteria if it's climbing...but the leaves on that look quite thick.

Number 3 is a lovely colour whatever it is.....I may have to steal some :heehee:

Hi Natty, these would be my guesses..
    1. Japanese Anemone
    2. Maybe a Camellia
    3. Looks like a piece of Virginia creeper
    4. Cultivated Cornflower..
    5. Not sure.. Perhaps an evergreen Honeysuckle.?

Yeah i did think cornflower of some sort, I like Number 3 too looks like the previous tenants chopped it down as its just a trunk with little shoots sprounting out. Number 5 is a wierd 1 as the stems are quite thick and its growing very fast but there dont seem to be any sign of any flowers on
Thanks for the help MarleyFarley and Cosmos guy ;-)

      Not a problem Nat :P

I only wondered if the last one was Wisteria, as ones tries to grow over from next door, and it's very vigorous. Is it throwing out branches and trying to creep? You wouldn't see any flowers on that until spring, and I'm fairly sure all of the leaves have dropped come the end of autumn.

Then again I could be completely wrong. Can you get another photo of the leaves closer up, maybe just singling out one branch?

Nope number 4 is definitely Centaurea Montana(you mean the one with the purple/blue flower right?). I got one from the Gardeners world show this year.

 I am still wondering if the last one is an evergreen Honeysuckle, there are several different kinds & as far as I know, some don't flower for the first few years..
The leaves look to thick for Wisteria to me Cosmos..
What do you think of yours compared to the photo below of one Natty.?
