You may remember in March Month I had my front garden landscaped ,the gardener planted this what I then thought was a dwarf grass as it was small at the time of planting.

It is now more than 18inches high I do like the colour of the foliage just not the height she has grown to and am a bit concerned it will get higher.

And spread out like my pampass grass that I had taken out.

I do like it but as we had a Pampass Grass and it took over the garden we took it out.

Dizi do you clip yours back to keep it contained?

I just dig out what I don't want, you can always either plant it elsewhere or offer it to a neighbour/friend, it's not unmanagable I only do this once a year.

I shall keep a check on it and if it gets much higher move to an area at back of house.

    Thanks anyway.

Gardener's Garters or Phalaris arundinacea ââ?¬Ë?Pictaââ?¬â?¢. It is very invasive. Ours we keep in a big pot and no way is it ever going to be planted out in the garden.

We have that grass as well Scotcat and have had it for years. It dies back in the autumn and comes up again in the spring. We have it planted in a large bucket and then in the garden, easier to control that way.

    Thanks for the name Palustris!
