    Wow -spot on Silver surfer!
Thank you so much for identifying this. Rather surprisingly I have a number of friends from RHS level 2 courses and also garden design courses who have not managed to come up with an answer.
I haven't used Gardener's Corner site for a couple of years but thought I would give it a go.Think after this I should come back to it to improve my knowledge further.
    Thanks once again
    Martyn

      Hi Martyn,

There's always lots of good info here on GC :blue thumb: and for identification I think you're unlikely to find anyone (anywhere) as good as Silver Surfer. :)

It's also a place to meet friendly people. :dbgrtmb:

Thank you Martyn and also shiney for your very kind posts.
        Much appreciated.

Eucryphia is a shrub I know and love...both from seeing it in gardens ..it is very common in the gardens on the West coast of Scotland . (Must like the wet!)
Also from growing several different ones in our old garden.
Eucryphia milliganii was a favourite as the leaves are small and dainty.
