I normally plant dwaft narcissi, tulip, crocus etc bulbs in small individual pots in the Autumn and plunge them in large pots in the Spring then in the Summer and after leaves have died down I put the bulbs in nets and store them dry until the Autumn planting.

I wondered whether anyone could tell me if it is possible to leave them in the little pots, after the Spring flowering, over the Summer months and whether the pots should be left dry or watered?

Don't really understand what you're trying to say here Letty. Why do you want them in individual pots (is that one bulb per pot) and do you group them together in the larger pots.

Bulbs can be left in pots all year round as long as you keep them watered.

Do you intend to plant them in the ground or keep them in pots?:)

    Sorry - does sound confusing.

I plant about 8 narcissi or tulips / more of crocus or iris - in smaller pots and then in the Spring I plunge a mixture of the pots into the soil of a large ornamental pot.

When they have finished flowering I lift out the small pots and transplant the ornamental pot with summer bedding. This means I can store the smaller potted bulbs until the leaves have totally died down.
Then I would take the bulbs out and store them in nets until I would plant them in the small pots again in the Autumn.

I wondered whether I could miss out the storing dry in nets and just leave them in the little pots until the following Spring and would you still water them or leave them to dry out?

    hello Letty
I leave my dwarf daffs in little pots and plant them in a container in late autumn . When they have finished flowering and starting to die back in April , I just lift the pots and put them behind my shed . Works great with daffs , I have never tried Crocus's with this method. I also give the daffs a good watering with tomato feed as they die back.

    Thanks Harry,
Having been born in Manchester I know that you can be assured of rain - even in the Summer months - I now live in Suffolk and we have had no rain for over 2 months!
That's why I was wondering if the bulbs were ok if they got completely dried out in Summer. (Sometimes think longingly of Manchester gardening.)
I also give them a good dose of fertilizer when flowering has finished.
