Can I replant where I dug up a diseased senecio greyi?

    I just dug up a 20 yr old senecio greyi (laxifolius). The leaves were going brown and dying back. Its left a big hole in my border. Can I replant in the same spot with another senecio or any other shrub? Thanks for any advice.
