    Hi Armandii,

No i took it out of my outside pot came the end of summer as always, and kept it in my cool laundry in dry compost it went to sleep as noraml, then as soon as it shows signs of wakeing up, bought it inside and watered sparingly.

it has never done it before its just on the very edges toward the tops of the leaves, i will take a pic of it tomorrow as its not very good light at the moment.

It is hard to pin point a reason from afar. Have you touched the water and is it sticky or anything. Is it looking okay otherwise? It might be that it took in a lot of water initially and is now trying to get rid of it naturally, although they are plants that like lots of moisture.

My canna seedlings are doing this as are my tomato plants. I've seen tomato plants do this in previous years so I think it's normal and nothing to worry about. It starts occuring in the evening and by morning there are some pretty big drops on the leaf edges.

I just googled this and apparently it's called 'guttation', see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guttation

"Guttation is the appearance of drops of xylem sap on the tips or edges of leaves of some vascular plants, such as grasses"

Must be a candidate for word of the day?

My Cannas develop very large drops of water on the leaves.
I have also found that Guttation effects male bellies in later life , especially those with a prefernce to beer in large doses
