"Flowering at just over 6ft, Canna Wyoming:"

That's GOT to be an imposing plant !
My Canna's are just beginning to flower, I only have four in all, three of them yellow. They're doing ok (just) but I reckon they might have the 'virus'. The leaves look a bit distorted to me. Didn't the original thread have stuff about the virus ?
Anyway. I'll post some pics tomorrow and maybe someone can give their opinion as to whether or not they have the virus.
    Cheers...freddy.

Hi Bob. Thanks for the reply. Is there any way that they might improve over the years ? So, grown from seed, easy to get hold of ? If I did this, what precautions would I need to take ? Is the virus retained in the soil ? And what about the greenhouse where the virused plants were ?
A few questions there, sorry :D
    Cheers...freddy.

Looking good, Bob. :gnthb: However, I'd have a close examine of that leaf to the right of the C striata ... looks a bit dodgy to me! Beautiful markings on the flower.

    Nice plants Bob.

As to the virus "thing", well I'm a bit confused.

As I understood it many plants that show leaf variegation are actually infected with a virus, a bit like parrot tulips.
Now if this happens to be the case with cannas, its going to be very difficult for us to work out if a striped leaf is actually virused or just normally virused, if that makes sense.

    Just thinking out loud.:D

    :) Me again ...

Bob, the new leaves you have shown look like 'normal' striped leaves but sorry that first one looks virused to me hence me making a comment .... maybe I need to go to Specsavers ..... :hehe:

    Hopefully all is okay.

Thats a good reference Bob, regarding virus.
I know that when my plants started to look similar to that a few years ago I ignored it thinking it was red spider damage, as the plants also had that problem.
I was not on the internet then and I was not up on canna virus

I've not grown any for about 5yrs now I think, so maybe its time I started again.

Your seed grown ones have inspired me to do so, the only safe way to grow them now I guess.
