ive got a climber in my front garden and cant remember its name or how and when or even if to cut it back.i planted it two summers ago when it was about 2ft high and only tidied it up a bit early this year.since then its shot away in all directins to about 15ft and i tied it above my front window.its got alot of small green leaves and clusters of small white flowers a bit like a jasmin.

Not sure how the poll works there but your climber sounds like a potato vine (Solanum Laxum Album) I used to have one at my last place and it was prolific to say the least.
